Nearbyers has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page describes our standards against CSAE and child sexual abuse material (CSAM), how to report concerns, and how we respond to them.
The following are strictly prohibited on Nearbyers, without exception:
Nearbyers is only for adults aged 18 or older. Use by anyone under 18 is prohibited by the Terms of Use. Consistent with our Privacy Policy, the app has no accounts or developer backend; profile cards, photos, and chats exist on users' devices and travel directly between nearby devices.
You can report another user directly in the app: open their profile card and choose Report. The report is composed in your own email app and sent to us with the details you include. You can also email us directly at any time at imadethisjustforthis124124@gmail.com.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.
Because Nearbyers is serverless — content lives only on users' devices and never passes through infrastructure we operate — we cannot remotely inspect or delete content. Our response therefore centers on acting quickly on user reports, referring offenders to authorities, and blocking tools built into the app (you can block any nearby user so they no longer see you or can contact you).
Nearbyers complies with applicable child safety laws, including mandatory reporting obligations, and with the Google Play Families and Child Safety policy requirements.
